Bonnie	Be inspired by Bonnie who was featured in the national newspaper USA Today! Bonnie has lost 170 lbs and is now an ironman having completed in Ironman Coeur d'Alene June 24th 2007!! Her race report is at: http://speedleopard.blogspot.com/2007/06/ironman-coeur-dalene.html Bonnie e-mailed: 'I just want to let all the Gecko's including some of those who may just lurk out there know how much of an impact this group has had on me. When I was preparing for my first triathlon in the summer of 2003 I came to Klineline Pond for the Gecko Open Water swims. I must have weighed close to 300lbs at the time and I know inside I felt totally out of place but everyone was so welcoming and encouraging to me. Thank you for looking beyond the outside appearance and being so friendly and welcoming to me that summer. I come back every summer and enjoy welcoming the newbies who stand on the edges looking uncomfortable to be there. If I can do triathlon anyone can :) '

Sandi Wiebe	Congrats to Gecko and 2007 National Age Group Female 55-59 Champion Sandi Wiebe!!! At USAT Age Group nationals on a sunny June 30th at Hagg Lake, Sandi won her age group by over 3 minutes. Read USAT race recap and see results.
